Website privacy policy
This policy covers this website only. It explains, in plain English, what we collect through the site and how we look after it.

Who we are
This website is run by Nazia Uddin and Mohammad Khalid Mushtaq trading as Bury Dental Practice (“we”, “us”), 434 Manchester Road, Bury, Greater Manchester BL9 9NS. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy on 0161 764 4960 or by writing to us at the address above.
This policy covers this website only. How we handle your dental records and health information as a patient is explained in our patient privacy notice, available at the practice.
What we collect
- Enquiry and consultation forms: your name, email address, phone number, the reason for your enquiry, your preferred time to be called, your message and the page you sent it from.
- Online bookings: if you book through our Calendly booking diary, the details you enter are collected by Calendly on our behalf.
- Website analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
- Security: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address to keep the site secure and to stop spam (including through Cloudflare Turnstile on our forms).
Please don’t include detailed medical information in a web form. We’ll talk through anything clinical with you in person or by phone.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and arrange appointments or consultations (this is necessary to take steps at your request before providing care);
- to keep our website secure and working properly (our legitimate interests).
We do not sell your information, use it for marketing without your consent, or use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers who help us run the website and handle enquiries, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare (hosting, security, analytics and sending form emails);
- Calendly (online booking);
- Google, only if you choose to load the map on our website.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you become a patient, in which case your information becomes part of your patient record and is kept in line with NHS and professional record-keeping guidance.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, please contact us. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.
